If god wore socks

If God wore socks

They would be fuzzy, warm, and polka-dotty.

God would jump in crispy leaf piles

And put extra marshmallows in hot cocoa.

God would have laugh lines and smile lines galore

And not mind them

Because laugh lines come from laughing,

And smile lines come from smiling a lot.

God would sleep in on the weekends,

And enjoy an occasional nap.

God would belt out every good tune on the radio,

Sing in the shower, and

Splash in every puddle.

They would be fuzzy, warm, and polka-dotty.

If God wore socks.

Tonight, friends, feel the cozy wings of angels surrounding you. You are loved beyond your wildest dreams.

With our without your socks.
